Live Viewing & Discussion: Historic Fairy Caves
April 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Join us on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m. for a live viewing of the Rocky Mountain PBS “Colorado Experience” Viewers’ Choice Episode of the Fairy Caves. To celebrate our 125th Anniversary of cave tours at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, we will stream the episode and have a live discussion with Park owners Steve and Jeanne Beckley.
We were honored to be the winner of the Viewers’ Choice episode on Rocky Mountain PBS. Since the previous live viewing was cancelled in April of 2020, we though this would be a wonderful opportunity to share the 8th wonder of the world on Earth Day and our 125th cave anniversary. A lot has changed since 1890, when Darrow and his family made the Fairy Caves a thriving tourist destination with about 800 feet of discovered cave. Visitors would arrive walking up the trail, riding a horse or burro or in a horse-drawn carriage. Today, guests arrive by Gondola to explore the more than 16,000 known feet of discovered cave at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
Tune in at 7:00 p.m. for a viewing of the episode and a live Q&A with owners Steve and Jeanne Beckley. We invite you to ask questions about the incredible history of the Historic Fairy Caves, and how we became Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park today.
