Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and Iron Mountain Hot Springs Welcome David Panter as CEO

Using his background in operational excellence, Panter will lead the businesses through some exciting upcoming developments, including the opening of the park’s new record-breaking roller coaster, Defiance.

Today, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and Iron Mountain Hot Springs, popular destinations in Glenwood Springs, announced the appointment of David Panter as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Panter’s experience and knowledge of leading teams, operational excellence, and brand innovation will serve the parks as they prepare for a summer filled with the arrival of exciting new attractions, featuring Defiance, the highest elevation looping roller coaster in the United States. Panter’s leadership will facilitate the continued growth and evolution of both properties.

Panter brings a wealth of experience and knowledge including leading teams from companies such as Campbell’s Soup, Oakley, Estee Lauder and most recently as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Boulder-based Charlotte’s Web. With a BS in mechanical engineering, MS in industrial engineering, and an MBA, David has spent over 25 years in progressive operations roles within various industries including medical devices and pharmaceutical, food, retail products, and specialty brands. He excels at building world-class teams and optimizing a company’s potential from small privately-owned businesses up to the some of the largest publicly-traded companies in the world.

Panter will work with and report to owners Steve and Jeanne Beckley. He will be responsible for creating and implementing plans and policies for both companies. He’ll oversee all day-to-day business activities across the two organizations including revenue, budget creation and management, marketing and sales, operations, food & beverage, retail, inventory management, finance, human resources, and internal systems and technology.
