Things to Do
With so many things to do, Glenwood Springs is a premier Colorado destination for all kinds of outdoor adventures. Expert-led trips and an abundance of trails are the perfect set up for a day filled with fresh-air-fun for the whole family.
Rafting
Not only is Glenwood Canyon spectacularly beautiful, the Colorado River through this section of it is a wild ride for whitewater rafters. Paddle through churning rapids, relax on stretches of flat water and, even take a dip in an in-river hot spring!
Biking
Glenwood Springs is a biking-friendly town for visitors of all ages and abilities. Paved trails with gentle grades that follow the rivers make for easy riding, while single track trails with steep inclines can be a challenge to even the most seasoned riders.
Hiking
To stretch your legs, we recommend hitting the trails in and around Glenwood Springs. Depending on the amount of time you have, you can summit a mountain, pay your respects to Doc Holliday, walk in the footsteps of heroic firefighters or go for a riverside stroll!
Golf
Spectacular mountain scenery is as much a draw as the championship fairways. Swing into action on two hometown golf courses with more playing options on another five nearby!
Fishing
The region around Glenwood Springs is home to some of the best fly fishing in the state of Colorado, with many stretches of river labeled Gold Medal waters.
Paragliding
Just as magnificent raptors patrol the Roaring Fork Valley, you too can ride the summer thermals and glide along the rivers of Glenwood Springs while enjoying the Rocky Mountain views.
