The approach to philanthropy at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about creating connections that strengthen and uplift our neighbors in the local community.
Commitment That Runs Deep
Since opening day in 1999, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park has been more than a mountaintop destination for thrill-seekers; it’s been an active partner in the Glenwood Springs community. From the start, the Adventure Park’s owners have always known success is built on the foundation of local support. In return, they’ve made it a priority to give back in ways that have a real impact and matter deeply to residents.
Giving That Makes a Difference
The Park’s charitable outreach touches a wide range of needs—from youth programs to health-related causes and community celebrations. Each partnership is carefully selected, ensuring that support is directed toward organizations whose work aligns with the values of both the Adventure Park and the local community.
By focusing on causes that truly matter to area residents, Glenwood Caverns helps strengthen the same community that has supported the Park for over 25 years. Whether through financial donations, in-kind contributions, or hosting events on the mountaintop, the Park’s involvement is about more than business; it’s about building a better, stronger community for everyone.
Serving Guests and Neighbors Alike
Hospitality with the simple mission of “making guests smile” is an essential, everyday core value at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Visitors come from all over the country and the world to enjoy cave tours, thrill rides, and breathtaking views, but the park’s dedication to service extends beyond the boundaries of the mountaintop theme park.
When it comes to giving back, the same generous spirit of welcome that greets guests when they disembark from the Glenwood Gondola at the Park entrance also drives the theme park’s community engagement.
Education, Health & Outreach Top the List
Of all the organizations Glenwood Caverns supports, education leads the way. From preschoolers to high schoolers, the Park ensures children have what they need to thrive in and out of the classroom—whether that’s supporting the arts, promoting safe after-prom activities, or assisting local parent-teacher organizations. In recent years, Glenwood Caverns has proudly backed Corks & Kegs, an event that raises over $100,000 annually for teachers and students in Roaring Fork schools.
Health and wellness are also top priorities. Recognizing that a healthy community is a thriving community, the Park supports causes that address critical health concerns, particularly those affecting young people. This includes Robbie’s Foundation, which combats teen depression and suicide, and the Osteosarcoma Collaborative, dedicated to finding a cure for the bone cancer that primarily affects children, teens, and young adults.

Another cause close to the Park’s heart is the Chris Klug Foundation which promotes eye, tissue, and organ donation. Chris Klug, who lives and trained in Aspen, was just 21 when he learned he needed a liver transplant. After six years on the waitlist, he received his transplant and just 18 months later, won an Olympic bronze medal for snowboarding at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games.
Of course, when it comes to combining fun with a great cause, Glenwood Caverns rises to the top with inspired events like Music on the Mountain, an annual concert series featuring a variety of talented performers to the mountaintop’s main stage. Admission is just $5, and all the proceeds benefit a selected local non-profit organization.
As diverse as the park’s attractions, Glenwood Caverns’ giving extends to supporting local sports teams, animal welfare groups, philanthropic organizations, victim outreach programs, and beloved community festivals.
More Than a Theme Park
While Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is known for its panoramic scenery, thrill rides, and family attractions, as well as its one-of-a-kind cave tours, what truly sets it apart is its role as a community cornerstone.
As the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park looks toward the future, its commitment to philanthropy and community giving remains steadfast and strong. The goal is simple—to make people smile when they visit, but also to serve and support all who call Glenwood Springs and the surrounding area home.
