Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is centrally located in beautiful Colorado and is easy to get to from any direction whether you are arriving by air, car or train. If staying at a local hotel, we recommend walking as parking can be limited. Â
Arriving From The East (Denver)
Drive west on I-70. From Denver, you’ll pass by famous mountain ski towns and go over high alpine passes. Glenwood Caverns is located approximately 160 miles of west of Denver and 60 miles west of Vail, Colorado. Well-maintained roads make this route a beautiful and easy drive year-round. In winter, it’s always a good idea to check road and weather conditions. As you approach Glenwood Springs you’ll travel through Glenwood Canyon, one of the most stunning stretches of highway in the western US. In Glenwood Springs take the second Glenwood Springs exit, Exit 114 and follow the map to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
Arriving From The West (Grand Junction)
Grand Junction is located 90 miles from of Glenwood Springs. Take I-70 east to Glenwood Springs Exit 114 and follow the map to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
Arriving From Aspen, CO
Home to world-famous Colorado ski resorts, Aspen is a short 40 miles away from Glenwood Springs; travel north via Highway 82 to Glenwood Springs. Continue over the Grand Avenue Bridge. At the round-about bear right on Highway 6 (where Village Inn is located), turn left at Devereux Road.
Flying to Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Several Colorado airports serve Glenwood Springs where Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is located: Denver International Airport (DIA), Grand Junction Regional Airport, Vail/Eagle County Airport (winter season only) and Aspen/Pitkin County Airport.
Arriving by Train
Glenwood Springs is also accessible by rail. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as it rolls by; Amtrak’s California Zephyr makes daily stops in Glenwood Springs on its route from Chicago to the San Francisco Bay Area. The scenic ride takes approximately six hours. Area hotels will pick you up at the station. Depending on where in you stay, you may be able to walk to the Glenwood Caverns base operations, otherwise call the local taxi service for a lift.
