Winter on the Mountain
Winter on the Mountain at Glenwood Caverns
The mountain-top Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, CO, is dazzling visitors this winter with thousands of lights, holiday music and much more. Welcome winter and the holiday season with Winter on the Mountain beginning November 13, 2020. America’s only mountain-top theme park will continue to spread holiday cheer—Colorado-style—with a festive roster of holiday music, a giant musical Christmas tree, firepits for roasting marshmallows and more.
Our annual Winter on the Mountain will look and feel a little different this year. Keeping the community in mind, family-friendly fun is our main focus at the Park. Keeping social distancing in mind, we encourage everyone to dress as if you are ready to ski. Bundle up and enjoy the great outdoors on the mountain. Beginning on Friday, Nov. 13, you can enjoy our most popular ride, the Alpine Coaster, dazzling holiday light displays throughout the Park and our giant musical Christmas tree with a light show choreographed to holiday music! Winter on the Mountain continues through February 2021. Hours vary throughout the winter season, see our online calendar for information and park hours.
To continue the spread of cheer, we will continue our annual Gondola Giving fundraiser to stock up LiftUp’s local food pantry to help those in need. Donate a City Market gift card worth at least $25 in exchange for four FREE gondola rides to the Park, an $80 value! We will be offering this deal through December 24, and the gondola tickets are valid through the end of February 2021.
Santa will still be visiting Glenwood Caverns this year! His visit may look a little different, but that’s not stopping ol’ Saint Nick from visiting his favorite theme park. Instead of sitting on Santa’s lap, children get their own special chair next to Santa. He will be wearing a plastic shield over his face, so your little ones will still be able to see him! Santa Claus is excited to listen to Christmas wishes and chat with children while keeping everyone safe. Click here for more information.
On Fridays in January, there will be live music in the Lookout Grille from 4-7:00 p.m. Grab a delicious hot beverage and enjoy music from local Glenwood Springs bands. Capacity will be limited, so be sure to book your reservation today! Due to reduced capacity and reservation system, we are not offering free gondola rides on Fridays this year.
Glenwood Springs local favorite, Rodrigo Arreguin will be playing in the Lookout Grille on Saturdays. Click here for dates!
PLEASE NOTE: Out of an abundance of caution for our guests and employees, Live Music events have been canceled for November and December. Live Music will begin in January.
A visit to The Lookout Grille for lunch, dinner or drinks is sure to please. Along with breathtaking views, a cozy fireplace and holiday décor, the restaurant offers appetizers, boneless wings, nachos, sandwiches, soups and kids’ meals, plus beer, wine, cocktails and tempting selection of hot cocoa, cider and winter beverages for kids and adults. The General Store, located inside the visitor center near the Grille, has a wide selection of gifts, toys, apparel and souvenirs.
Be sure to book your reservation and wear your face covering. Our best deal is the Unlimited Alpine Coaster ticket! Just $44 for adults and $39 for kids. The Unlimited Alpine Coaster ticket includes your gondola ride and all winter attractions at Glenwood Caverns. We look forward to seeing you at Winter on the Mountain!
