The mountain-top Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, CO, is dazzling visitors this winter with over half a million lights, holiday entertainment and much more. Welcome winter and the holiday season with the Winter on the Mountain kick-off on Nov. 23, America’s only mountain-top theme park will be spreading holiday cheer—Colorado-style—with a festive roster of family-oriented events and activities sure to delight revelers of all ages.

Winter on the Mountain Kick-Off, Nov. 23

Winter on the Mountain at Glenwood Caverns2 to 6 p.m. In anticipation of Thanksgiving, we’re hosting Gondola Giving to support Lift-Up, our community food pantry which serves area individuals and families in need. Bring a $20 or more grocery gift card and receive Glenwood Gondola rides for up to four people. Those who donate gift cards will be entered into a drawing (one gift card per entry) to win prizes that include Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park Annual Thrill Passes, all-inclusive Funday tickets to the Adventure Park and Iron Mountain Hot Springs day passes. Guests can also bring a non-perishable food item for a single ride on the Glenwood Gondola. The Coca-Cola polar bear will also be making the rounds welcoming one and all with friendly bear hugs.

5 to 8 p.m. Winter on the Mountain kicks off the season of lights with a flip of a switch, illuminating the night sky with over half a million lights! In addition to their brilliance, the Adventure Park’s Musical Christmas Tree adds to the magical quality with shows every half hour starting at 6:00 p.m. The musical merriment continues as The Leonard Curry Trio perform favorite holiday tunes throughout the evening.


Winter on the Mountain at Glenwood CavernsFor more fun and games ride the Haunted Mine Drop and the Alpine Coaster, the entire length of which is lit up and decorated; play laser tag, see a 4-D Theater show and go on cave tours that are specially decked out for the season. Then, gather round the Adventure Park’s fire pits to chase away chills, roast s’mores and sip warming cups of cocoa. Our musical Christmas Tree will play and light up the night sky every half hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. During Winter on the Mountain, which runs through February 28, visitors will enjoy discounted pricing for Funday passes, $42 for adults and $37 for children.
