Octoberfest Returns to the Adventure Park for Four Weekends

Dust off your lederhosen and dirndls. It’s Octoberfest at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, and this year the revelry goes on for a full four weeks!

Octoberfest at Glenwood CavernsNo matter your heritage, in October, everyone identifies as German! Octoberfest is wunderbar. It’s also a favorite fall event at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. The autumn weather is stunning, all the rides are open, cave tours are ongoing, and the Park goes full Bavarian with German food, drinks, and festivities in September and October.

Because we can’t get enough and neither can our guests,  we’ve extended 2025 Octoberfest from three to four consecutive Saturdays: Sept. 20, Sept. 27, Oct. 4, and Oct. 11. That means you’ve got an extra weekend to raise a stein, savor Bavarian specialties, and join in the polka-powered fun.

Alpine Echo Band Sets the Tone

Octoberfest in Glenwood SpringsIf there’s one thing that makes Glenwood Caverns’ Octoberfest come alive with the sound of music, it’s the Alpine Echo Band. Known throughout Colorado’s Western Slope for their oompah rhythms, accordion flourishes, bellowing Alpenhorn, and genuine German energy, the band transforms the mountaintop theme park into what feels like a Munich beer hall. From classic waltzes and beer-drinking ballads to the Chicken Dance, Alpine Echo gets everyone clapping, stomping, singing, and swinging their partners to-and-fro. Come fall, there’s no better place to kick up your clogs in the Roaring Fork Valley than Octoberfest at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.

Taste the Flavors of Bavaria

Of course, Octoberfest wouldn’t be complete without hearty German flavors. This year, the Smokehouse restaurant is rolling out an Octoberfest menu that’s chock-full of mouth-watering specialties. Some to look for include:

  • Giant pretzels with beer cheese. These warm, soft, and oversized pretzels will transport you straight to Munich. Dip them in mustard for the ultimate flavor explosion.
  • Potato pancakes with chive sour cream. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these potato pancakes are a Bavarian classic. Chive sour cream is an authentic topper to this traditional dish.
  • German sausage sandwich with sauerkraut and fries. Flavors direct from Germany, this hearty sandwich is a combination of juicy sausage and tangy sauerkraut.
  • Pretzel bun burger with caramelized onions and beer cheese. Upgrade your burger game with a pretzel bun.
  • German meatballs with whole-grain mustard. These savory meatballs served with whole-grain mustard are a crowd-pleaser. They’re perfect for sharing or enjoying all by yourself!
  • Cream Puffs. Treat your sweet tooth to these creamy pastries. They’re the perfect way to end your Bavarian feast on a sweet note.
  • Pumpkin fudge and fudge-covered apples. Dip into the flavors of fall with these decadent treats.
