Glenwood Gondola Weather Policy
The Glenwood Gondola
provides transportation to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park with breathtaking views of the town of Glenwood Springs, Mount Sopris and the confluence of the Colorado and the Roaring Fork Rivers.
The Weather
in the Rocky Mountains can change quickly. In the Spring and Summer months it is not uncommon to experience afternoon thunderstorms which bring wind and lightning.
If we experience high winds or lightning
in close proximity, the Glenwood Gondola will slow down and sometimes stop. We may also close the gondola for a period of time until the storm has passed. Typically, these storms pass quickly, usually in about 45-90 minutes. We will resume loading the gondola as soon as the storm passes.
Please plan accordingly
for these delays as there is no alternate means of transportation.

Being winter most of the rides were closed so summer here we come. Jessica Jeanete Rodriguez RamirezJanuary 8, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Un lugar muy bonito para visitar en todas las estaciones del año, el espectáculo de luces estuvo muy lindo y las proyecciones 4D. I nice place to visit on every season of the year, everything was funny Xiomara PortilloJanuary 7, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Muy bonita experiencia EmmaAnn Oberg-KujathJanuary 3, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We really enjoyed the gondola ride and the alpine slide! However, the winter lights show left some to be desired. Kinda spendy for what you can do, at least in the winter. Amanda MessnerJanuary 2, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gondola ride was breathtaking. Be suspended over the gorge allows you to take it all in. The bridge was most interesting to see the structure of the build. It is very unique. Fascinating fact is most of the welding done originally in 1929.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
