Glenwood Gondola Weather Policy
The Glenwood Gondola
provides transportation to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park with breathtaking views of the town of Glenwood Springs, Mount Sopris and the confluence of the Colorado and the Roaring Fork Rivers.
The Weather
in the Rocky Mountains can change quickly. In the Spring and Summer months it is not uncommon to experience afternoon thunderstorms which bring wind and lightning.
If we experience high winds or lightning
in close proximity, the Glenwood Gondola will slow down and sometimes stop. We may also close the gondola for a period of time until the storm has passed. Typically, these storms pass quickly, usually in about 45-90 minutes. We will resume loading the gondola as soon as the storm passes.
Please plan accordingly
for these delays as there is no alternate means of transportation.

Great one of a kind theme park in the mountains, not crowded so you could ride the attractions multiple times J DNovember 4, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. You take a gondola up to this really cool park. Nice views. The caves are beautiful and there’s a lot of fun, thrilling rides. I had heard mostly good things about Glenwood Caverns and decided to take a day trip up there with a friend. I was thoroughly impressed with the park! The pricing felt reasonable for the attractions offered, service and staff were excellent, the atmosphere was quite nice, the food was decent, and the rides were of a good quality overall! I especially enjoyed the cave tours and 4 coasters! The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made for a fun experience inside both caves! I do wish they had a few more rides with more variety, but what they have is great! Katharin Albrecht GOctober 28, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fun place to bring your kids. Some pretty scary rides for the thrill seeker. My kids loved the caves. Food was decent and not horribly priced. Pair with a trip to the hot springs to get your best value. CassidyOctober 28, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We visited a weekday at the end of October and it was fantastic. Only one food vendor was open at this time but that’s the only downside. The rides are fantastic for adrenaline junkies and there were little to no lines. We love a good cave as well and the tours were great! Highly recommend the black light tour of fairy caves.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
