Things To Do in Beaver Creek

Vail and Beaver Creek are about 13 miles and under 20 minutes from one another. The two are connected through on mountain Bachelor Gulch, or via taxi, bus or car service. Once in Vail Resorts’ Beaver Creek, Vail or Lionshead Village you won’t need your car. This makes for easy shopping in Vail and Beaver Creek.  You’ll also find some of the best restaurants in these Vail villages. 

Between the two resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek, there’s plenty of things to do! Snowmobile Vail, mountain bike, ski, golf, snowshoe, SUV/ATV touring, snowboarding and whitewater rafting, Vail and Beaver Creek have a great mix of activities for you and your family to enjoy.

Ride the scenic gondola to the top of Vail Mountain, to enjoy amazing views of the Gore Range and Mt. of Holy Cross.  Check out Epic Discovery Vail. With Adventure Courses, Ziplines, a Mountain Coaster, Tubing Hills, a Climbing Wall, Bungee Trampoline, and much more, the options are endless. If you’re looking for what to do in Vail in April, check with individual providers, they may or may not have things to do in Vail when it rains. In any season, you can hunker down in the region’s 10th Mountain Division Huts that provide backcountry stopovers for showshoers/skiers and hikers.  A wonderful thing to do in Vail, during Christmas is to take a sleigh ride!

In Beaver Creek, Beaver Lake Trail is a popular favorite of locals for all seasons. Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center will set you up for McCoy Park’s 32 kilometers of cross country and showshoeing trails. Beaver Creek Black Family Rink, on mountain snow tubing and the Children’s Museum offer up good family fun.
