Previous Updates

May 29, 2020

To Our Loyal Guests,

We know many of you are eager to enjoy the fun and adventure of a visit to Glenwood Caverns
Adventure Park. We can’t wait to welcome you back and make you smile!

It’s important for us to meet or exceed the guidelines set forth by local, regional, state and
federal agencies for operating in a COVID-19 environment and want to inform you of some
changes you’ll notice on your next visit.

These guidelines include:

  • Personal protection equipment: For the safety of our employees and guests, our
employees will wear face coverings. Guests will need to follow the city and county
guidelines at the time of your visit.
  • Health screening and enhanced training for our employees
  • Touchless transactions whenever possible
  • Plexiglass sneeze guards at registers
  • Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of common touchpoints throughout the property
  • Limited capacity
  • Social distancing markers
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations

More Specifically:

  • Capacity will be limited in the park; therefore, your time of entry will be specific. Online
reservations will be REQUIRED for a 1-hour time slot of entry. For example, if you
purchase a 9 – 10 a.m. time slot, you must arrive within that timeframe or your ticket will
not be valid. Once we have an opening date, reservations will be open.
  • During the purchase process, you will be asked to sign an online wavier for touch-free
    entry.
  • Gondola cabins will be cleaned frequently and limited to social groups or individuals.
  • All ticket holders may not leave and return, so please bring everything you need with
you. There are lockers available to store your belongings.
  • Annual Pass Holders do not need to make reservations and may leave and return. Your
expiration date on your pass will be extended by the period of time we were closed.
  • Please see our park calendar for hours.
  • All music and events are cancelled through June. Information about future events will be
available on our website as ongoing restrictions are refined.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.
By visiting Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, you voluntarily assume all risks related to
exposure to COVID-19. All guests must take personal responsibility for their own health and
safety when visiting by making good choices.

What we ask of you:

  • If you are sick or not feeling well, please stay home.
  • Wash hands often and use hand sanitizer where available.
  • Maintain safe physical distancing from other parties.

Simply put, we’re doing everything we can to keep our guests and employees as safe as possible
while still providing you with the Colorado-style hospitality and entertainment that you love.

Dear Guests,

Normally, we would be opening all of our seasonal rides and attractions right now, watching you smile
as you rush to enjoy the Giant Canyon Swing, Canyon Flyer and Cliffhanger for the first time in months.
We just love to make you smile. There is nothing normal about this year, though.

The park has been very quiet since we closed on March 15, but not silent. Small groups of employees
have been working on a variety of projects so that when we can reopen, we’ll be ready to greet you with
new safety procedures in place and big smiles beneath our face coverings. There’s even a surprise in
store for you this summer that we’re sure is going to put a smile on your face, too.

What does the new normal look like? We’ve been working on that for weeks, making sure we can meet
or exceed the guidelines set forth by local, regional, state and federal agencies for operating in a COVID19 environment. Simply put, we’re doing everything we can to keep our guests and employees as safe as
possible while still providing you with the Colorado-style hospitality and entertainment that you love.

These plans include personal protection equipment, health screening and enhanced training for our
employees; touchless transactions whenever possible; online ticket purchases; plexiglass shields at
registers; frequent cleaning and disinfecting of common touchpoints throughout the park; limited
capacity; social distancing markers; and additional hand-sanitizing stations.

The global health environment is constantly changing, so these practices may evolve as we take the
latest guidance into consideration. We’ll provide you with more specific details—and hopefully an
opening date—soon. In the meantime, please check our website and Facebook page for updates.

Some of the most frequent questions we’ve been asked are by our loyal annual pass holders. Annual
passes will be extended by the length of time we’re closed and still provide all of the same benefits and
discounts.

After so much time at home, we know many of you are eager to enjoy the fun and adventure of a visit to
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. We can’t wait to welcome you back.

See you soon!

Steve & Jeanne Beckley
