We got there at 1015 am on June 15. 10 minute line to get on gondola. The gondola offers a good view of both the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. For the best views visit the observation deck above the restaurant. You can ride the Alpine Coaster, roller coaster and visit a couple caves before 2. Food is fried but the swirl ice cream cone is good. They have water stations so bring your bottle. Lot of walking. read less

We did every ride (many multiple times!) and enjoyed our Cave Tour with Burk! The food was great, staff very friendly, and the grounds were very pretty and incredibly clean! Every staff member we interacted with genuinely looked like they enjoy their job and interacting with guests. We panned for gold and rocks too! We had a wonderful day! Highly recommend this for your trip to Glenwood Springs! read less

And the whole mountain shut down…. we stood in the line to get down the mountain by bus for over 1.5 hours… and wasn’t getting anywhere…. and we had a reservation for a 2.5 hour swim slot at the Iron Mountain Hot Springs that we were now, an hour late for. I happened to see the employee, Bouie (sp?), who got us on a bus immediately, and got ahold of the hot springs for us, and they extended our swim time. So we didn’t miss out. Also the Adventure park refunded our tickets. I am soooo impressed with their customer service and how much Bouie saved the day. Weather is out of their hands but they made it so much better for us. read less

We stayed at Glenwood Springs Hotel and had no idea how that was the perfect choice for the adventure park. Our overall experience was great. It is definitely worth the stop. Here are my tips:
1. Be there when it opens. We were there at 100 degrees. It was definitely harder in the afternoon.
2. Do Alpine slide first and if you want to do it again, go when lines are short.
2. Do the bottom cavern tour first. It has less people (20 at a time).
3. 4D movie is perfect for a cool down. If you have 3D glasses or can bring some, do it. It will make the experience better. It was a great way to cool off.
4. 2-3 kids can easily split a sand bag to do the gem mining. I would get a higher priced bag and split it over the kids each doing the lowest one. It was worth it. They will give you sorting bags for each kid to split the treasures.
5. The view at the grill is worth the lunch there. If you order a salad, make sure to get dressing on the side. It is a ton and drowns the salad. You can also get adult beverages that you can carry with you.
6. Staying at the hotel allows you to go back and forth with ease. If you have a little one that won’t want to do the rides or a sensory child, buy the gondola and cavern ticket. They can still eat, gem mine and walk around. They can also go back down to rest or do pool if needed. Made it so much easier with our age gap and needs.
The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They made the experience so much better. Hailey, our tour guide was great! It is a pricey day. Make sure to look at the extras and food prices when planning and budgeting. My troop said it was definitely worth it and a great memory. read lessMeredith J6/02/2021This place is great for kids 6-16!! The park is very clean and the staff is fabulous!!! We also had a lot of fun. The laser tag is wonderful. I like how they don’t have teams but targets plus a free for all lol!!! It was so much fun. There aren’t a lot of rides and the rides they do have are AMAZING!!! Save the cave tours for the end of the day. The caves are marvelous!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Must see!!!! read less

NC grandson for the day 2 wks ago — he had a blast! This is a smallish but mighty amusement park; now that he’s a little older we didn’t worry so much about losing him (we’ve also taken him to Disney World). Many unique rides in that they’re *very* high altitude-wise. He ADORED the Alpine Coaster (as do we grandparents), & rode it repeatedly! As well as the swing chair ride that for halfway puts you over Glenwood Canyon (drop of 700? 800? ft). Do NOT miss the spectacular cave tours! Do at least 1 of the 2 offered; that’s how this park started many yrs ago.
Our only complaint is that since a longish gondola ride is the only way to get there, you must use their $$ & boring/limited menu dining-snack bar. I hear they’re opening another location with more options soon. Hope so!
Pretty clean as amusement parks go, & enuf scattered restrooms. But BE AWARE this is at 7200 ft. altitude & has a few steeper paths than some may find challenging. Go, & have fun! read lessDeb Steinshouer6/01/2021
