Beginning November 2 & Special Events

Winter on the Mountain is coming up!From Monday, Nov. 2 through Thursday Nov. 12, the Adventure Park will be closed as it gets ready for its annual holiday celebration—Winter on the Mountain. It takes that long for park employees to decorate and string the thousands of twinkly lights the illuminate the mountaintop every winter. This year, two new fire pits will be featured in the Plaza for guests to warm themselves and the Gift Shop will once again be selling the ever-popular s’mores kits for roasting around the fire. For all the latest information about Winter on the Mountain, including special attractions and what rides will be open, visit Glenwood Caverns’ Events Page.

First Weekend for Winter on the Mountain Begins Friday, Nov. 13

Winter hours also go into effect at this time. Starting on Nov. 20, the beginning of the Thanksgiving holiday period, the Adventure Park will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., though closed on Thanksgiving Day so employees can spend time with their families. In December, for the winter break, the Adventure Park will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Dec. 20 through the New Year. At all other times in Nov. and Dec., Glenwood Caverns will operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays and will be closed Tuesdays through Thursdays.

New Way to Give in 2020

In years past, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park visitors have helped stock the shelves of LiftUp, the local food pantry. This year, with the coronavirus restrictions still a factor, the Park is switching things up. Rather than bringing canned food items that cannot be accepted this season, visitors are asked to purchase a $25 gift card from City Market between Nov. 13 and Dec. 24 for LiftUp to include in their holiday baskets for those in need. In return, visitors can “redeem” their gift cards for Glenwood Gondola tickets. For each $25 City Market gift card, guests will receive up to 4 gondola tickets—an $80 value to use anytime during Winter on the Mountain which runs through Feb. 28.

Two Ways to Buy Tickets

Beginning on Nov. 1, visitors will have the choice to purchase Adventure Park admissions in advance with an online reservation or they can buy tickets at the cashier window.
